unDEAD
Finally decided that I have been neglecting BoyBoy for the past couple of weeks.
Life's been pretty crazy for me lately, with good stuff coming one after another. Been feeling pretty happy for quite some time ler.
Gonna be 15 soon ler, so I decided to recap what I've done for the past 1 year (18 June 2006 - 18 June 2007)
June 2006
I was still a Sec 2 then, what the Sec 4s call 'noobs without the extra material on their unbleached pants' Sec 2s that time were still in charge of the e learning content. We weren't that happy about doing content, cause it was a tedious job.
But I soon realise the special bond between the Sec 2s and Sec 3s during that period, which was formed during my Sec 1 November holiday. As much as it sounds super lame, it was e learning that brought us a lot closer. ITC was never the same for me since then.
During the Sec 1 EOY hols, we came back everyday to do the ViSIT Portal. Being sick and tired of the canteen fried rice, we decided to move on to Parkway for lunch. KFC @ Parkway soon became favourite haunt for ITC.
We also had our annual camp in June. The camp was the best I ever went to, and perhaps one of the cheapest camp that ITC had held. According to Safi and Ryan, the camp went on smoothly without much delay. Part of the reason could be the Sec 2s respected the Sec 3s as their seniors, cause of that bond we had developed. Therefore the Sec 2s urged the others to move quickly and held high discipline.

Camp 06 is over. Like that. 4 tiring but meaningful day just past like that. The camp was from 18/6 to 21/6. I really enjoyed this camp. It was like a very meaningful camp, and the nightwalk really boosted my confidence to walk in the school at night.
Day 1
We had some games like 'The Peanut Game' which was funny and some other cool games. After that we went to Palau Ubin. We bought some raw food from there and had to cook our own lunch. We had to make our way to Palau Ubin ourselves as well. Well after hours and hours and walking we arrived at a hut where we cooked our food. We left there at around 4 plus and hiked around Palau Ubin and at around 6 plus we went to climb a small hill. It was getting dark when we climb up. At around 7 plus, we reached the top and the view was really astonishing. We climb down and by then it was already getting dark. On our way down, it waqs already very dark and I could almost not see my fingers. Fortunately, we had some torchlight and everyone was save. We went to Changi Point Food Centre and had our dinner there. We headed back to school and had a debriefing on what we did and some activities and had our P.A. aka personal admin aka brush teeth, bath, rest, keep our stuff. At 1am, lights out.
Day 2
Woke up at 6.30 and fall in outside our bunks at 7. Had P.T. and went for breakfast. After, had some more activities like human chess and things like that. Lunchtimes, the food was pretty nice. After lunch, it was time for some wet activities. I kena 3 pails of water and it was quite cold. After all the wet ones, We played some soccer. Everyone enjoyed themselves. After that it was times for P.A. again and dinner! After dinner was time to talk about our talent night and some more activities. It needed trust and teamwork. People were blindfolded and one person will direct them around. After this was some P.A. time and lights out.
Day 3
We woke up and fall in outside our bunks by 7. Had warm up at the basketball court and ran up to the parade sq for our P.T. Did some push ups, crunches, spauds and grim bottles. After breakfast, we went for our amazing race. The first clue we saw, and I remember that it was Sakae Sushi at Changi Airport, the VIP room. I knew it becasue that time Pei Yun and I were there, and we were joking about having our class gathering lunch there. Anyway, it was correct and we went with our race. We went chinatown, orchard, somerset, esplanade. Could not go to tampines coz not enough time. After getting back to school, had some time to rest and fall in outside canteen. We had our handover. Warran and Safi were thrown into the pond. Poor guys. We had dinner and then our talent night. My group sang a song and I heard it broke the 'traditional' of groups having skids every year. Talent night was great. After that we packed the chairs and we we gathered in Seminar Room 1 and we watched a horror. It was gross and disgusting and almost everyone felt like vommiting. Even the volleyball ppl who joined us also felt like vommiting. The show was not scary. It was gross and bloody. After that was some story telling and 1 by 1 we went for our nightwalk. It was a cool stroll around the school and I enjoyed it. By the time everyone finished, It was 5am plus. I went with the seniors to bring everything back. After that the Sec 4s felt like playin soccer so the sec 3s and some sec 2s joined in. Even Mr You played with us. midnight soccer was so fun that sometimes we cant even see the ball. I acted as midfield support and the score was 6 all in the end I think. After that was penalty shootout. Warran scored one and I scored 1. The final score was 8 - 6. Yeah.
Day 4
We packed our bunks and had our breakfast. After that was debrief. Went home and slept.'

One thing that I remembered vividly from the Camp was the spirit. On the first day of the camp, everyone was in high spirits and it was kept at that level for the rest of the camp. It was a camp which I truly enjoyed.
July 2006
Nothing much happened, except for NEWDC Prize Giving Day. It was truly a great effort by the Sec 3s (current Sec 4s). Not only the Prize Giving Day, but the whole course of organising that National Competition. It's not an easy job, cause I am personally going through the same thing now.
Since July onwards it became more inactive and everyone slowly went into studying mode. At the same time, Yi Rong and I started on NEWDC and NEVC, with me in charge of NEWDC, and Yi Rong on the NEVC.
Worked on and off for this period of time until the exams really came in October.
October 2006
End Of years came. It was a truly enjoyable exam, part of the reason is that I studied, so I feel prepared for the papers. My overall percentage had improvement, but was still pretty bad.
November and December 2006
It was this period when Yi Rong and I worked hard for NEWDC and NEVC. Also went for LTC for my JL.
'LTC really changed me. I feel like Im different. I feel different. Its like, a new me. Having that red shirt with 'Leadership Training Camp' and 'Junior Leader' does not mean anything at all. We have to prove ourself worthy. I still remember what the instructor there told me. 'We are not here to serve you. You are here to serve yourself.'

February 2007
NEWDC Briefing Day was held at the Singapore Discovery Centre. It was a great day. We prepared for it pretty last minute, so we were glad that it wasn't that screw up.

Briefing Day 07 @ Singapore Discovery Centre
I would like to thank Yi Rong, and all the other committee members for making Briefing Day a success.
The day started off with me jumping out of my bed and realising I was late. Taing a quick shower and I chiong off to school in a cab. To my horror, I forgot to take my keys with me, and I had to go back home to retrieve even though I was already in Marine Parade.
When I reached school, everyone was already there. I ran to the D and T workshop and open the door and retrieved the things we had already packed the day before.
Journey to SDC on our bus was great. Cheers done our fellow IT Club member was great and the morale was high while Yi Rong and I rehearsed. Upon reaching there. We took our stuff and we ran over to the registration table. Barely ready, schools have already started arriving. We quickly set up the theatre, and Yi Rong rehearsed one last time before the presentation began. This was followed by Mr Martin Hong's presentation and then Mr Ivan Lim.
After that, Yi Rong briefly went through his presentation and started clearing people from the auditorium. The NEWDC participants came in and they settled down. It was my turn. Told myself not to be nervous and rehearsed one last time. I went up there, and shit, mental block.
I started by saying retarded things like, 'Can I have your attention pls.' Introduced myself and followed by Mr Colin Tan's presentation. After that I gave my briefing on some important stuff, and the NS ppl needed the auditorium, and we release the participants for their free and easy time. We went for our free and easy as well, and Mr Tan Yi Rong was kind enough to treat me to the shooting gallery.
We went back school at 12.30, and reached around 1.20. Had our debriefing and following by the Victorian Anthem. Did a spelling cheer, a VS Unite, and a VS spirit. After that I took the loud hailer and started singing Welcome to the Black Parade. Went home after packing up.

June 2007 (Current)
Currently working on NEWDC Finals and Prize Giving Day, the exact same thing Ryan did last year. I never thought that i'll be the chairman for NEWDC, and the Chairman of ITC. It had its ups and downs, and NEWDC will be over in 5 weeks time.
Been studying and doing NEWDC in school for the past 1 week. I realised that the Activity Deck is a good place to study. Sessions there have proven to be useful.
[Studying at the Activity Deck]
Gordon – Ryan your favourite band is what band ?
JJ – My favourite band is the rubber band
Me – Mine is Headband
Ryan – WRISTBAND!
Safi – Hair band
[Ian walks here]
JJ – Ian I know what your favourite band is
Ian – What is it?
JJ – Bandage
[Everyone burst out laughing]

Finally figures it out after 30 mins
Boiling the water...
Ryan dunno doing what again...
Safi's the most hardworking
JJ and Ryan can't wait to eat
Bird says: Avg Velocity = (u+v)/2
My heart is beating from me
I am standing all alone
Please call me only if you are coming home
Waste another year flies by
Waste a night or two
You taught me how to live
In the streets of shame
Where you've lost your dreams in the rain
There's no signs of hope
The stems and seeds of the last of the dope
There's a glow of light
The St. Jimmy is the spark in the night
Bearing gifts and trust
The fixture in the city of lust
What the hell's your name?
What's your pleasure and whats your pain?
Do you dream to much?
Do you think what you need is a crutch?
In the crowd of pain. St. Jimmy comes without any shame
He says we're fucked up
But we're not the same
And mom and dad are the ones you can blame
Jimmy died today
He blew his brains out into the bay
In the state of mind it's my own private suicide
[Part 2: East 12th St.]
Well nobody cares
Well nobody cares
Does anyone care if nobody cares?
[x2]
Jesus filling out paperwork now
At the facility on east 12th st.
He's not listening to a word now
He's in his own world
And he's daydreaming
He'd rather be doing something else now,
Like cigarettes and coffee with the underbelly,
His life's on the line with anxiety now,
And she had enough,
And he had plenty
Somebody get me out of here
Anybody get me out of here
Somebody get me out of here
Get me the fuck right out of here
So far away
I don't want to stay
Get me out of here right now
I just wanna be free
Is there a possibility?
Get me out of here right now
This life like dream ain't for me
[Part 3: Nobody likes you!]
I fell asleep while watching spike TV
After 10 cups of coffee
And you're still not here
Dreaming of a song
But something went wrong
But I can't tell anyone
'Cause no one's here
Left me here alone
And I should have stayed home
After 10 cups of coffee I'm thinking
(where'd you go?)
Nobody likes you, everyone left you
(where'd you go?)
They're all out without you havin' fun
(where'd you go?)
Everyone left you, nobody likes you
(where'd you go?)
They're all out without you havin' fun
(where'd you go..go..go..go..)
Geeze...Ha..
[Part 4: Rock and roll girlfriend]
[written and sung by Tre Cool]
I got a rock and roll band
I got a rock and roll life
I got a rock and roll girlfriend
And another ex-wife
I got a rock and roll house
I got a rock and roll car
I play the shit out the drums
And I can play the guitar
I got a kid in New York
I got a kid in the bay
I haven't drank or smoked nothin'
In over 22 days
So get off my case
Off of my case
Off of my case!
[Part 5: We're coming home again]
Here they come marching down the street
Like a desperation murmur of a heart beat
Coming back from the edge of town
Underneath their feet
The time has come and it going nowhere
Nobody ever said that life was fair now
Go-carts and guns are treasures they will bear
In the summer heat
The world is spinning
Around and around
Out of control again
From the 7-11 to the fear of breaking down
To send my love a letterbomb
And visit me in hell
We're the ones going
Home
We're coming home again
Home
We're coming home again
I started fuckin' running
As soon as my feet touched the ground
We're back in the Barrio
But to you and me, that's jingle town
Home
We're coming home again
Home
We're coming home again
Home
We're coming home again
Home
We're coming home again
Home
We're coming home again
Home
We're coming home again
Home
We're coming home again
Home
We're coming home again
Home
We're coming home again
Nobody likes you
Everyone left you
They're all out without you havin' fun
